Orlando mention in "All American Girl" book
posted by Brittany
Brittany writes: I bought a new book called "All American Girl" by Meg Cabot (of "the Princess Diaries" fame) and I was already interested in the fact that the main character's passion was for celebrity portraits. But, on page 11, (much to my satisfaction and surprise) there's a short sentence about how she wouldn't do a drawing of Orlando Bloom for someone. I thought it was pretty cool. But that could just be geeky little me. They also talk about Heath Ledger, Justin Timberlake, and Freddie Prinz Jr. portraits.

Can't get enough of LOTR
PR Newswire
Blockbuster conducted a survey asking customers to list the movies, movie characters and directors they'd most want to spend a week with. Respondents were less unanimous about the movies they'd most like to watch over and over for an entire week. -- "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" was cited by 15 percent of all respondents. (More than three times as many as chose "Spider-Man.") -- In a virtual tie for second place, the week-worthy movies included "The Godfather," "American Pie," "Star Wars" and "When Harry Met Sally." -- "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Thelma & Louise," "Minority Report," "Moulin Rouge" and "Shakespeare in Love" rounded out the list.

FOTR back in German movie theatres?
posted by Evie
Evie writes: According to my source at Warner Bros, the distributor for Germany, it is very
unlikely that LOTR:FOTR will be back at German movie theatres in regular runs
before LOTR:TTT will open on December 18 officially.
Some movie theatres however will show both movies back to back as double
features then.
Also, pre-sales for the tickets for the first midnight shows are already under
way for certain movie theatres. Check your local theatre's schedule if you're
interested, and in case it is not yet added to the following list, will you
please add it? They are listed according to German ZIPs.
