SHIPBUILDING: Next in the Disney pipeline is "Pirates of the Caribbean,' which will, we hear, star Johnny Depp (good pirate) and Geoffrey Rush (bad pirate). It will also star a pirate ship, which is being built in the semi-orbed secrecy of what's still termed the Spruce Goose Dome, next to the Queen Mary. The ship/soundstage will take about 10 weeks to be completed, after which shooting will take place for a mere five days or about how long it's going to take us to get that damnable theme song out of our head.
