Liv Tyler denies Rings "re-shoots"

Liv Tyler told SCI FI Wire that it is inaccurate to refer to the recent, additonal principal photography done for the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers as "re-shoots." "It's not like, 'Oh, there is something wrong,'" Tyler said in an interview. "It's actually being done just to enhance the film."

New Line did not stockpile any "Fellowship" material for DVDs of the "L.O.T.R." sequels. "At this stage, we want to take them one film at a time," Mulvihill says, "and really make the most of each as an individual film. Once they're all out in the world, there will be the opportunity to approach the trilogy as one film itself. But at this point, we want to celebrate each as a separate experience."
